T'ai Chi Master Heg Robinson has been a teacher and martial arts
practitioner in for almost 40 years. He has become a leader in
self health. It has become a way of life-not only for him but
for many of his students as well. Master Heg was born in Arkansas
in 1943. His father was the first to demonstrate the practice
of T'ai Chi to him. This was accomplished through the value of
repetition in the ordinary work of farming, picking cotton, and
sawing wood.
Master
Heg Robinson obtained his formal training as a classical master
in the Yang form of T'ai Chi Ch'uan through his Masters, Master
Chu Gin-Soon, T. K. Shis, T.
T. Liang, and a host of others. He has taught and practiced
this martial art around the country. His commitment to T'ai Chi
is ever widening. He founded the Roxbury T'ai Chi Academy in 1973
and teaches T'ai Chi as a martial art and health care system that
provides treatment for a wide variety of ailments.
The
art of Tai Chi has been well documented over time by Western medical
establishments and research institutions. It is known how self-health
practices can bring balance, flexibility, and durability to your
body. T'ai Chi brings stress relief, decreases blood pressure,
improves heart problems, and arthritis to name a few. Authorities
agree that a self-health practice such as T'ai Chi Ch'uan, heals
the mind/ body /spirit and prevents common ailments.
